Swords and Daggers
My swords are purely ornamental, as they are not heat treated. At this time I do not possess the technology to heat treat blades over 12 inches long. These pieces are fashioned by "stock removal" from mild, low-carbon steel. The daggers are forged from W-1 tool steel, and are properly heat treated, tempered and finished.
Daggers
Using a combination of wood, leather, stone and metal, the grips of these daggers are individually assembled, and no two are alike. Intricate file work on the guards and pommels.
Swords
These are examples of the types of swords I have made. They are "wall hangers" and not intended to be used for sparring or sword play.
Wire Hilt Dagger - "Main Gauche"
During the Renaissance, swordsmen often used an off-hand weapon such as this to defend against an incoming sword blow, and used it also as a secondary , offensive weapon (some used two swords, a sword and buckler or shield, or a cape, hat or other means to defend against an opponent's attack). This ornate piece is forged from W1 tool steel, with an 8 1/2 inch fullered blade. The guard is forged and nickel plated. The grip is wrapped in black leather, with wire inlay.

Damascus Dagger
Forged from W1, 5160, nickel and 1020 steel this is the latest of my renaissance style daggers. Carved cocobolo grip with an alabaster stone set into the pommel. the double-stitched sheath is worn on the back of the belt to allow drawing the dagger with the left hand.
